Film and Video Studies (FAVS) at George Mason University and Brightline Interactive will present the first FAVS Meet the Seniors on Thursday, May 25, at 7 pm co-presented with The Virginia Production Alliance and Women in Film & Video. Hosted by Brightline Interactive at their office in Old Town Alexandria VA, FAVS Meet the Seniors is a networking event designed to connect the best and most innovative companies in the regional media industry with the best and most innovative FAVS graduating seniors and recent alumni with specialties including directing, cinematography, producing, video editing, and sound recording & editing.

The evening will include stations for 25 of GMU’s top film and video studies graduates to showcase their reels to companies throughout the regional media landscape. Companies will have an opportunity network with the group as well as individually with the graduates. FAVS graduating seniors and recent alumni are a diverse group of mediamakers who are seasoned in videography and editing in FinalCut, Premiere, AfterEffects and other industry software. They have experience writing and producing content from development and pitching to production and post-production. FAVS will have a printed directory listing all graduates with their headshots and resumes as well as a flash drive with all the reels presented for each industry participant.

Companies attending FAVS Meet the Seniors cover a wide scope of the local media. They include production companies such as Green Buzz Agency; post-production house Ott House Audio; news content creators Circa Digital News, a subsidiary of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group; award-winning filmmakers from Meridian Hill Pictures, and representatives from the Virginia Film Office.
